Music

I added a juke box, so if you want to hear some Clutch, or just get an idea of what I listen to, scroll down to the bottom of the page to play.
Hope you enjoy my bizarre mixture of punk/metal/industrial/bluegrass/60's hippie folk! Hey, there's something for everyone!
I have to admit, the song choices may be a little 'doomer' oriented.
Have fun!

  3. I like country (but not much modern country), Texas music, bluegrass, classic rock, hard rock, '80s and '90s heavy metal, modern rock/alternative, some classical, zydeco, Irish/Celtic music, Jimmy Buffet (a genre unto himself!), island/calypso, some reggae, sea shanties, and yarrrrr, pirate songs!

  4. Jimmy Buffet IS a genre unto himself. He came up in conversation last night as we sipped 'fruity rum drinks'. Something about boats, Jimmy Buffet and rum just go together.

  6. wow, yes - great selections...from gillian, to DK, to ben harper, to indigo, to ministry, to SIXTEEN FUCKING HORSEPOWER!

i don't think you can do one of these playlist/players on wordpress. it's a shame, because that would probably satisfy a lot of my urge to talk about music all the time!

  7. Thanks Hermit! maybe I should start moderating comments. I didn't read this until today.
Yeah Rube, my tastes are VARIED. I suppose I could put Carmina Burana or Toccatta and Fugue in g minor (Bach) on there to round out the genres. They didn't have the 16 horsepower song I really like available. I enjoy your 'sound recipes'. It's an imaginitive way to get music on your blog, and I like the idea of telling a story or communicating a feeling with a grouping of songs. Rock on, y'all.
